JAMES BLACKWOOD – CEO / Executive Creative Director
Former Associate Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi and Creative Director of New Zealand’s largest agency office, Colenso Auckland, James is one of New Zealand’s most experienced and awarded creatives. James has been responsible for some of New Zealand’s leading campaigns. He is also the driving force behind bcg2.
MICHAEL JARVIS - Managing Director
Michael is one of our most experienced account service people, having worked at JWT on some of the country’s major blue chip accounts. He was also responsible for helping to establish a successful local creative agency in Auckland before joining Blackwood King & Partners.
At Blackwood King & Partners Michael became a shareholder and General Manager of the agency. Michael has recently returned to New Zealand after running Leo Burnett Indonesia, one of the largest advertising agencies in the country, where in his tenure he helped take the agency to number one in the market and Creative Agency of the year.
ABE DEW - Strategy & Planning
Abe was raised by primates in the temperate rainforest remnants of Kohimarama. Upon completing a MA in poetry & drama at Auckland University he wrote syndicated TV concepts on Cannibalism in the South Pacific for Communicado Ltd.
Abe then became a senior qualitative market researcher and conducted focus groups in Pidgin English the remote highlands and outlying islands of Papua New Guinea & the far western suburbs of Sydney. Abe then completed the Axis Creative Adschool as a copywriter and founded Dew Diligence advertising strategy in 1998.
He joined DDB Auckland in 2000, transferred to DDB Tokyo as lead planner in 2003 and moved on to become a senior digital account planner at Tribal DDB London. There he won two UK IPA advertising effectiveness awards in 2006. And for 2010, Abe completed an MBA from Henley Business School in the UK with the dissertation subject ‘What clients want’.

BERT LAMB - Chairman / Finance Director
Bert has earned the reputation of a ‘business adman’ with numerous startups, mergers and acquisitions to his credit. He is seen as a lateral business thinker and has pioneered development of advertising solutions into dedicated business ventures. His reach into NZ business is significant and he is a well liked and respected operator.
